SKIRMISH: The War Rages On

As the Tamerlane Wars continue, more and more armies begin to take the field, choosing their sides. Skirmish: The War Rages On, is a collection of 8 armies for Skirmish: Wallet Friendly Wargaming, by Biscuit Fund Games. 

If you haven't tried Skirmish: Wallet Friendly Wargaming yet, you can get the Core Rules here. It's far and away my favorite wargame on the market today, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

The collection includes four traditional, yet unique, Skirmish armies: The Armed and the Miserable and the Knight-Errant of the High Tower for Ventrasse generals, and the Corpse Battalion and Royal Ballistae Detachment for Mordaunt generals. Additionally, it includes one army for each faction, Mordaunt National and Ventrasse United, which together function as the supplement We Are But Linebackers, a sports adaptation of Skirmish that , while still bloody, is more objective focused and less deadly. Finally, this collection includes two new Neutral armies, that can be used by generals of either faction, the enigmatic Suzerainty Bureau and an adventuring party called the Banner of the Black Wolf. Each of these armies can be purchased individually, but by buying them together, here, you receive a 50% discount from their regular list price.

As a writer on the Collaborator Chronicle included with the original Skirmish publishing, I wrote a lot of armies in the lead up to the campaign. This is a selection of some of my favorites, tweaked and tuned, that didn't get published along with my work in the Collaborator Chronicle. That by no means indicates that they are somehow lesser, simply that some of the concepts that these armies play with are more experimental or strange than the armies included with the initial release.
