SKIRMISH: Royal Ballistae Detachment

"In the Mordaunt Army, there is a special task force designated with the duties of fortification and defense of frontier strongholds and command posts. The Royal Ballistae Detachment, more commonly called the Porter Corps by enlisted troops, is a group of engineers and artilarists more than capable of such a task. Once the fortifications go up, the Detachment is capable of rapidly deploying ballistae to the walls, sighting their targets at great ranges, and executing precision strikes on high-value enemy personnel. "

The Royal Ballistae Detachment is an army that can be put to use by Mordaunt generals in the wargame Skirmish, by Biscuit Fund Games. While not adept in hand-to-hand combat, they are skilled at setting up emplacements of powerful Ballistae, capable of wiping out many enemy units with a single shot when supported by skilled crews.
