SKIRMISH: Corpse Battalion

"As the war raged on and the casualties from the front line stopped being measured in number of soldiers killed in action and started being measured in numbers of companies lost, the Mordaunt war machine began searching for a solution to their problem of a rapidly dwindling supply of recruits. At first, Doctor Royce Salem’s solution was rejected by the Prince Regent, and the Doctor accused of practicing the very sorcery that the war was designed to defeat. As the Doctor continued to explain, however, it became clear that his methods were not magic, but a sufficiently advanced scientific method. Its purpose? To reanimate the corpses of fallen soldiers to form an unstoppable horde of the living dead. Thus, the Corpse Battalion was born, a small unit of highly-trained specialist troops, specifically instructed to infiltrate deep into enemy territory to establish footholds of walking cadavers."

The Corpse Battalion is an army that can be put to use by Mordaunt generals in the wargame Skirmish, by Biscuit Fund Games. Where there is war there are the remains of the dead, and the Mordaunt Empire makes good use of them with the Corpse Battalion, capable of animating deceased foes to bolster their own ranks.
